BREATHE, 2014, Inflatable mask
with Jacob Kirk-Haugstrup

The mask is an exploration of the act of breathing. The breath as the beginning of every motion.

The mask makes the act of breathing a tactile experience, as the material inflating touches the skin. As the mask with time covers the eyes, the view gets blurred, because of the material's qualities and the suspended drops of condensed air. Weakening the sense of view, the awareness moves to sound of the breathe and its rhythm. To the air moving within, and forming the mask, to the touch of the material on the skin.
